She is very tough. To the new and serious trouble. Very serious trouble for a once high-flying congressman. There he is, Aaron Schock showing off his abs on a magazine cover and here is his congressional office done up to look like the set of the pbs show "Downton abbey." Days after Schock resigned in a campaign spending scandal 9 feds are stepping in to investigate his finances and David Wright is on the story. A strange one. Reporter: He was an up and coming republican from Peoria until he started styling himself like the earl of Grantham with a six-pack. This has been a spectacular fall from grace, congressman Schock resigned this week amid scandal and now he's the subject of an FBI investigation. Schock horror. Staff members of former congressman Aaron Schock now face subpoenas to appear before a federal grand jury. The plot thickens. Reporter: A plot line worthy of "Downton abbey" that inspired the decor of his capitol hill office. Complete with fest apartment feathers and crystal shaped leers. At the end of the day regardless of what color wall you choose for your office the most important thing is a member of congress is what you do for your constituents. Nothing succeeds like excess. Reporter: When ABC news first confronted him about these excesses, Schock shook off his critics. You know as Taylor swift said haters are going to hate. Reporter: Now he's facing more questions about his expenses, allegedly overestimating the mileage on his personal car by some 90,000 miles. Schock has since repaid all of the reimbursements for work mileage during his congressional career. He's also under investigation for misusing campaign funds. And taking improper donations. Schock was one of the youngest members of congress. His six-pack featured on the cover of "Fitness" magazines on instagram promoting himself surfing in Hawaii, dancing the tango in buenos aires. Far too old for that awful foxtrot. Reporter: Now Schock is making less glamorous headlines. Two years from now he will be successful if he's not in jail. Reporter: We reached out to him but Schock horror, he didn't get back to us. The dad says the press is out to get him but now it's not just the press, it's the FBI too. The earl of Grantham with a six-pack. Well put. Whoever inherits the office also gets the decor. Yes. It's staying. They'll probably do a paint job though. Keep the pheasant feathers no matter what. David, thank you.
