SC's Graham explores GOP presidential run - U-T San Diego

By LAURIE KELLMAN Associated Press10:25 a.m.

WASHINGTON (AP) — South Carolina Sen. Lindsey Graham says he's set up a committee and a website to raise money for a possible campaign for the GOP presidential nomination.

Graham says his exploratory committee is about finding solutions to such public policy issues as immigration, national security and health care.

The 59-year-old, three-term senator says the GOP needs to decide whether it will work with Democrats on big matters. The committee is called "Security Through Strength."

Graham plans to travel to early voting states such as New Hampshire and Iowa.

The website comes after Graham announced his interest in running for president. More than a dozen other Republicans are considering White House campaigns.
